Other World Computing (OWC) today announced the availability of the PowerLogix G3 1.0GHz ZIF upgrades for PowerMac G3 “Beige,” G3 B&W, and G4 “Yikes” PCI Macs. This easy-to-install upgrade is now available at a 30% lower price — US$139.99. Fully compatible with all PowerMac G3 and G4 Yikes computers running Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later, the PowerLogix ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) CPU upgrades provide performance up to five times faster than with the original stock processor and require much less power, says the company.
