infiniteNIL has released version 1.1 of PackRat, its Mac OS X desktop client for 37signals’ Backpack Web application. This new version adds full AppleScript support and an Automator action. With AppleScript support, users can now write scripts to extract information from PackRat (and Backpack) and use it in other applications. Users can also write scripts to add new data to PackRat, such as creating new pages and adding new items to lists. The new Synchronize with Backpack Automator action lets users include Backpack synchronization in their workflows and do things such as have PackRat synchronize with Backpack at a certain every day. PackRat 1.1 is a free upgrade for current users. A license can be purchased for US$24.95, and a free demo is available. PackRat requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
