April 16, 2007 – ZappTek is pleased to announce the release of
iPresent It version 1.5 ($17.95 USD — a free update for current
users), available for immediate download at
(http://www.zapptek.com/ipresent-it/). This version adds support for
the Apple TV by automatically detecting your presentation’s
resolution and ensuring that it is formatted correctly for display in
standard or widescreen format. It also improves the resolution of
standard presentations.

How do I give a presentation with my Apple TV? The Apple TV allows
you to sync photos from your computer via iTunes — it’s very similar
to working with an iPod.

The main limitation is that you can only connect to a display using
component video or HDMI. This is restrictive in that most projectors
don’t support either of these connection options. You can, however,
get an HDMI-to-DVI cable — this lets you connect to any monitor or
projector with a DVI input.

But is it worthwhile?
The image quality is excellent for showing slides (and you can create
widescreen presentations)! If you’re going to a trade show or are
giving a presentation in a standard size meeting room then using a
standard LCD monitor is a great way to go.

About iPresent It:
With iPresent It you can convert your PowerPoint, PDF and Keynote
presentations into slideshows that are synced with your iPod. Never
carry a laptop into a presentation again; it’s all on your iPod!

About ZappTek:
ZappTek has been developing applications for the iPod since 2002.
Beginning with tools to bring calendar and note information into
Contact entries (EntourageEvents and EntourageNotes, the precursors
to iPDA), ZappTek now provides a suite of applications to meet all of
your iPod needs. These include iPDA for personal information
management, iPresent It for giving presentations with your iPod
photo, iSpeak It to convert documents into MP3/AAC audio tracks, and
iPod Launcher so you can automate all of your iPod activities.
