CodeMeter Named a Finalist for SIIA Codie Awards 2007

Karlsruhe – The international jury has once again awarded CodeMeter
as one of the top 5 products in the category “Best Digital Rights
Management” for the SIIA Codie Awards 2007. In 2005, it was in the
top 5. With the placing as “Finalist” in 2007, CodeMeter again has
received the important qualification and the chance for being elected
as a winner in this category by the members of the association
“Software and Information Industry Association” (SIIA, www.siia.net).
The best products will be announced during a gala in San Francisco on
April 17, 2007. The German Wibu-Systems AG as manufacturer of
CodeMeter will be represented by their American subsidiary
Wibu-Systems USA, Inc.

For the 22nd Anual Codie Awards there has been a nomination for 1,200
products, among them 367 finalists have now been chosen in 72
categories. “The 2007 Codie Finalists represent real winners, even at
this stage of this contest,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA President.
“Competition is fiercer than ever and that makes selection as a Codie
Finalist a real achievement.”

CodeMeter offers an easy to integrate protection for software vendors
and flexible license options with user-friendly functions for users.
It includes personal security functions such as password management,
secure login, file encryption and an optional available memory in the
USB hardware CM-Stick.

Oliver Winzenried, C.E.O. of the German Wibu-Systems AG, is
enthusiastic: “It is marvelous receiving international acceptance for
CodeMeter through the SIIA Codie Awards. And the next jury has been
available and will be active before the CeBIT: with the international
Hacker’s Contest 2007 we challenge the world of hackers. The first
contestant who can enable the protected demonstration software to run
without a CM-Stick and describe the right solution will win the prize
of 32,768 Euro.”
