CommonGround Softworks Inc. Announces Qilan version 3.0.8
HOOKSETT, NEW HAMPSHIRE — January 8, 2007 — CommonGround Softworks
Inc. today is pleased to announce the availability of Qilan 3.0.8
along with Qilan Database Manager (QDBM).
This upgrade includes our new QDBM application that provides a
graphic user interface (GUI) for setup and configuration of Apache
Derby and other supported databases. Installation will also configure
Apache Tomcat and Apache Derby 10.2. Apache Derby, an Apache DB
subproject, is a relational database implemented entirely in Java and
available under the Apache License. The combination now effectively
provides the GUI and components needed to create, configure and run
JSP pages, to create and run SQL, and a quality SQL database engine.
Qilan 3.0.8 lite is available as a free download. Pricing details for

Qilan Overview:
Qilan is both a database and web application development environment
allowing schema and data access along with web application
construction. It is a graphic user environment for database and web
developers who seek to integrate, migrate or scale upward from
existing projects. Qilan communicates between single or multiple
databases. Please refer to our supported database web page for
specific feature support. Certainly there are other commercial and
open source tools available, but we feel that the Qilan graphic user
interface saves significant time. Web pages can be built using your
favorite HTML authoring environment, then imported into Qilan. The
Qilan GUI allows these pages to be manipulated and put into
production quickly for complex web based projects without “coding”.
Qilan enables web sites to communicate with single or multiple
“backend” data sources. Qilan builds query and report logic that
reside on the web server. This logic is applied across supported
database vendor products. “Write one question and ask multiple
databases”. Queries can be sent to one or many databases. Qilan
driven web pages can perform updates, data transfers, and data
synchronization between supported databases:
