Free Intel iMac for DTK developers

Developers who participated in Apple’s Developer Transition Kit (announced at WWDC in June) are now eligible to receive a free Intel-based iMac. Under the program, developers who shelled out the US$999, received a 3.6GHz Pentium 4 and Mac OS X 10.4.12 running preview. Those developers are now eligible to receive a free Intel iMac 17-inch 1.83GHz Core Duo. Developers have until March 31, 2006 to claim their iMac.

Absoft announces new tools for Intel-based Macs

Absoft Corporation today announced plans to offer software development solutions designed for Apple’s new Intel-based computers, extending the company’s existing product line for PowerPC-based systems. The new solutions include tools from Intel and Absoft optimized specifically for Apple computers using Intel processors including the new iMac and MacBook Pro computers using Intel Core Duo. The new solutions will combine compilers, debuggers, and libraries from Intel, Absoft, and third party manufacturers.

Intel adds new software tools to aid Mac developers

Intel Corporation today announced new software development tools and resources through its Intel Software Network to help Apple developers take advantage of Intel Core Duo processor technologies to maximize application performance on the new Intel-based Macs.
