XtremeMac announces MicroPack for iPod

XtremeMac today announced its new MicroPack battery pack for all Dock connector iPods. Capable of providing up to five times as much audio playback time as a fully charged iPod nano, MicroPack also serves as a syncing dock when connected to a computer via USB cable. Depending on iPod model and settings, MicroPack can provide up to 80 hours of audio playback for the iPod nano and up to 8 hours of video playback for the iPod with video.

Analyst see Apple’s computer sales ‘waning’

Mark Stahlman, an analyst with Caris & Company, reiterated an “above average” rating on Apple but addressed some concerns for the company, reports Forbes. Stahlman raised earnings-per-share estimates for fiscal 2006 and 2007 to US$2.59 and $3.06, respectively, from $1.91 and $2.33. “With perhaps 135% year-over-year sales growth for iPods and only 5% for Macs in the quarter, Apple’s computer sales momentum is waning,” the analyst said.
