Paradigma ships Valentina 2.2 Universal Binary

Paradigma Software today announced its Mac-on-Intel strategy and the release of Valentina 2.2 for C++ for Mac OS X. Valentina 2.2 ADK C++ for Mac, which includes a Universal Binary version for developing database solutions for Intel-based Macs. Valentina 2 C++ ADK Standard Edition for Macintosh is available for use with Apple xCode for US$199. In addition, Valentina Studio, Admin Edition 2.2 Mac ($59), in open beta, is immediately downloadable and also in Universal Binary format.

ProjectWizards opens agency in the UK

ProjectWizards, the makers of the Merlin project management application for Mac OS X, today announced the opening of their first UK agency in London. The company says The UK is one of Merlin’s major markets and a market that is growing rapidly. “After opening our agency in the USA earlier this month,” said Frank Blome, ProjectWizards’ CEO, “it was not only wise but a necessity to place our offices in the UK.”

Apple to host media event February 28th

Apple is hosting a media event on February 28th at its campus in Cupertino, CA. The invitation sent out to the media simply says to join Apple as they introduce “fun new products.” As usual, the company gave no indication of what products they are referring to.

BeLight announces Disc Cover

BeLight Software today announced the forthcoming release of Disc Cover, a new application for designing CD/DVD labels, inserts, jewel case covers, mini-CD’s on a Mac. The program features diverse import capabilities and an extended clipart library (23,000+ high-quality images). Other features include: iTunes, iPhoto and iDVD integration; direct-on-CD printing; over 50 professional designs; and more. Pricing and a release date was not provided.
