OWC reduces pricing on Neptune FireWire 400 drives

Other World Computing (OWC) today announced significant price reductions on its complete line of Neptune FireWire storage solutions. OWC’s Neptune solutions all include all connecting cables, Intech HD SpeedTools and EMC/Dantz Retrospect Backup Software (Mac/PC), and are supported by a one-year OWC warranty. Pricing for the Neptune drives ranges from US$99.95 for the 80GB version, to $279.99 for the 400GB model.

ChronoSync 3.2.1 released

Econ Technologies today updated ChronoSync, the automated synchronization and backup application for Mac OS X, to version 3.2.1. This new version enhances volume mounting, file change detection, and multiple synchronization performance. Ken Winograd and Space-Time Associates today announced the release of Hangman Pro 2.0.7. Hangman Pro is a colorful, educational, non-violent word-guessing game, with dozens of built-in categories of words, unlimited custom word lists, hinting, digitized sounds, speech, timed games, a new photo feature, and more. Version 2.0.7 added a new preference (Clear Info on New Game) which clears the information displayed about the previously guessed word or phrase, when a new game has started.

OWC acquires PowerLogix product designs

PowerLogix this week announced that Other World Computing (OWC) has secured the exclusive rights to all PowerLogix proprietary hardware designs and software code, as well as copyrights, logos, brand names, and Web domains. The agreement, structured as a third party asset purchase and a license to OWC, was negotiated among PowerLogix, OWC, and PowerLogix’s secured banking partner. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
