Our colleagues at iLounge have published a “First Look” report on the new Nike + iPod Sport Kit. “Announced in May by Apple and Nike at a joint press event, the Nike + iPod Sport Kit and compatible Nike+ (‘Nike Plus’) shoes are now in stores. Consisting of a small, red and white wireless 802.11 sensor/transmitter and an all-white iPod nano receiver, the Sport Kit tracks a runner’s performance and sends data to the nano for recording and synchronization with iTunes.

Symantec posts ‘Mac OS X: Viruses and Security’

Symantec has published an interesting article concerning viruses on Mac OS X. “Let’s start with the hot-button issue of Mac OS X viruses,” says the column’s author Todd Woodward. “Simply put, at the time of writing this article, there are no file-infecting viruses that can infect Mac OS X. Remote Buddy preview brings dev tools for Apple’s Remote

IOSPIRIT GmbH has announced the availability of preview 4 of version 1.0 of its application for remote controls for Mac OS X. Remote Buddy enables users to fully control a Mac via its included Apple Remote (or any other supported remote). The new, built-in Behaviour Construction Kit now allows the creation of Behaviours without requiring programming skills.
