XtremeMac today announced iPod accessories for back-to-school. These include: MicroMemo, a digital recorder, and Tango, an iPod speaker system with audio/video line out. MicroMemo, designed for the iPod with video, takes advantage of the player’s high-fidelity audio capabilities to record and play back verbal notes, interviews, podcasts or lectures. It can also be used to record language lessons to help reinforce proper pronunciation and accent or for recording oral homework.

The Apple Design Awards is an annual contest, sponsored by Apple, to recognize technical excellence and outstanding achievement on Mac OS X. Quark offers free 30-day evaluation of QuarkXPress 7

Quark today announced the availability of its free 30-day evaluation QuarkXPress 7 software. The evaluation software is available for Macintosh and Windows users and enables designers and publishers to explore the features of QuarkXPress 7 as fully functioning software. Macintosh users who are working on the new Intel-based machines can try QuarkXPress 7.01, the Universal Binary version of QuarkXPress 7 software. In addition, the download is included in the upcoming issue of X-Ray Magazine.
