AppZapper team pre-announces Disco with MacZOT

The makers of AppZapper, “the uninstaller Apple forgot,” have teamed up with MacZOT to offer an exclusive pre-order of their upcoming software title, Disco. Little info about Disco has been released, but the hype surrounding AppZapper has carried over to mass speculation about what Disco is. “The guys behind AppZapper are currently working on their next app, Disco. We can’t disclose much, but we already have a special deal for you,” said Brian Ball, founder of MacZOT.com. Disco is available for US$4.95 as a pre-order.

No keynote planned for Apple Expo, Paris

Reed Expositions in France has said that there will be no keynote address at this year’s Apple Expo in Paris, reports Macworld UK. “Apple CEO Steve Jobs has traditionally popped across the Atlantic to visit Europe once a year for the show. Jobs was replaced by Apple VP Phil Schiller in 2004, as he was recovering from life-saving surgery at that time,” notes the story.

Apple issues ‘Report on iPod Manufacturing’ in China

Apple has issued a statement regarding alleged poor worker conditions at an iPod assembly plant in China. The company notes: “Like many of you, we were concerned by reports in the press a few weeks ago alleging poor working and living conditions at a manufacturing facility in China where iPods are assembled. Our Supplier Code of Conduct mandates that suppliers of Apple products follow specific rules designed to safeguard human rights, worker health and safety, and the environment.
