Runtime Revolution today announced that it is joining partner U3 at the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin, Germany September 1-6, 2006. IFA is the world’s largest consumer electronics fair with 1,202 exhibitors from 40 countries. Runtime Revolution 2.7.3 introduced a new feature to the cross-platform development and design tool to automatically build U3 compliant applications. U3’s smart drive computing system ensures that applications run off of a U3 drive do not leave any information behind on a host computer.

Civilization III: Complete Universal patch released

Aspyr Media has released a free Universal patch and several updates for Civilization III: Complete. This patch updates both Civilization III: Complete, the unsupported Civilization III Play the World applications — it will update any version of Civilization III: Complete Macintosh to version 1.22 Rev A. Changes include: Universal Binary for both applications; compatibility fixes for several third-party mods; music stuttering should be greatly reduced; saved files are now compressed; and a number of bug fixes.

FileMaker Pro 8.5 available in Simplified, Traditional Chinese

FileMaker has announced that the recently released FileMaker Pro 8.5, the first desktop database to provide built-in integration with live Web data, is now available in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. “We are very excited to offer FileMaker Pro to the Chinese market and to our multinational customers with offices and partners throughout China,” said FileMaker president Dominique Goupil.
