BrowseBack 1.3 released with faster searching, more

SmileOnMyMac has updated BrowseBack, a Web history visualization and search tool that was awarded “Best of Show” at Macworld Expo 2006. BrowseBack stores a PDF of every Web page visited and makes the pages accessible through a unique interface that allows the user to browse thumbnails of the pages. This visual web history can also be searched by content, making it possible to easily retrieve visited Web pages with a few keywords. In version 1.3, search speed has been improved.

LecShare Pro creates narrated presentations from PowerPoint

LecShare today announced the release of LecShare Pro, which allows users to add audio to Microsoft PowerPoint presentations to create QuickTime movies, MPEG-4 Video files (Video Podcasts), Accessible HTML, and Microsoft Word documents. Audio can either be recoded through a microphone or import an audio file. Individual licenses may be purchased online for $69. A free trial is also available.

Apple’s stock hits 4-month high

Apple’s stock has risen 3% today — a 4-month high today, notes MarketWatch. UBS analyst Benjamin Reitzes said he believes Apple will unveil “a major move into the digital home” during its special media event next Tuesday. “Reitzes also reiterated his buy rating on the stock, but raised his price target to US$92 from $80.”

Apple’s retail exec to speak at Sept. 12 event

Apple’s Senior Vice President Retail Ron Johnson will speak with analysts at the at the fourth ThinkEquity Annual Growth Conference after the special media event September 12th, reports Macworld UK. “ThinkEquity analyst Jonathan Hoopes anticipates the company will debut new iPods and a movie download service through iTunes, and expects Johnson will discuss how Apple’s retail presence can help execute its future strategy,” notes the story.
