New Apple retail store to open in California

Apple has announced it is opening a new retail store in Canoga Park, California on Friday, October 6, 2006. The Apple Store Westfield Topanga, which is located at 6600 Topanga Canyon Boulevard, will be open to the public at 10:00 a.m. PDT. As part of its usual Grand Opening promotion, Apple will give away an Apple T-shirt to the first 1,000 people to visit the store. In addition, the company is offering a chance to win a Digital Lifestyle Collection valued at US$2,229.

New Book Design brings Picture Package Printing to Aperture

Mac:method today announced the availability of the third addition to their Signature Series of Aperture Book Designs. This design, entitled “Package Deal,” brings easy picture package printing to Aperture. The specially designed pages of the book design allow photographers to easily drop photos into pre-sized 2×3, 4×6, 5×7, and 8×10 inch photo boxes and print the pages to a desktop inkjet printer. All of this can be accomplished without leaving the Aperture application.
