SmileOnMyMac today announced the release of PDFpen 3.0, the latest version of its popular and affordable PDF editing tool for the Mac. With this major upgrade, users can modify original text using automatically-generated text blocks that can be corrected and edited. This version also features new image editing capabilities: users can now move, resize, copy and delete images from the original PDF. Other enhancements include increased speed and multiple column text selection. PDFpen is priced at US$49.95 and PDFpenPro is $94.95.

Symantec announces Norton Confidential Online Edition

Symantec today announced Norton Confidential Online Edition, an online transaction security solution that allows financial institutions to help their customers bank online with confidence. The solution is based in part on the technology in Symantec’s recently announced Norton Confidential product and is being delivered via new bank-to-consumer and retailer-to-consumer distribution channels.

Acqualia announces Soulver 1.4, World of Where 3.7

Acqualia today announced the release of Soulver 1.4 (US$13.95), the latest version of its calculator that provides a word processor style interface for doing math on your Mac. Version 1.4 introduces the ability to calculate numbers from English expressions, for instance typing $10 a month for 3 months will equal $30.
