Prairie Games, creators of the massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), Minions of Mirth announced the release of the Universal Binary version. Minions of Mirth now runs natively on PowerPC- and Intel-based Macintosh computers. The Free Edition of Minions of Mirth can be downloaded the Web site. The Free Edition includes both single player gameplay and access to MMORPG servers. Upgrade to the Premium Edition for a one-time-fee of US$29.95 to unlock additional features.

Thinkertons.com today announced the release of AirStatz 1.2.1u, a free WiFi/Airport tool For Mac OS X 10.4 or later. AirStatz is a fast, easy and highly graphical WiFi (AirPort) signal display. The primary display is a dynamic pie-chart showing the ratio between signal (green) and noise (red). This display updates at 8-10 times per second on a 800Mhz G4 iBook or better, which is 20x faster (to be charitable) than the Apple Airport menu signal-strength display.

iNuron announces beta release of its Mc Nucle

iNuron today announced the beta release of its Mc Nucle software 1.0, the first in a series of metadata management servers targeting home and small office networks. It turns Macintosh desktops and servers into general purpose metadata management servers, and plugs in on the Spotlight index in Mac OS X. iNuron releases the Mc Nucle v1.0 beta under a closed beta program with 1,000 licenses on offer at €29, including a free upgrade to a full personal edition license upon final release, which is expected in early 2007 for €69.
