Final Cut users and gurus from across the US will gather in Los Angeles, November 15 at the LA Convention Center, beginning at 7:00 p.m. as part of the annual “DV Expo.” This event is hosted by the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group. (lafcpug). Scheduled to appear on the agenda will be producer/director Brian J. Terwilliger who will show clips from his documentary film, “One Six Right” and discuss the workflow. Also scheduled to appear will be FCP Product manager Steve Bayes who will take questions and listen to FCP feature requests and feedback. Ted Shilowitz from the Red Digital Cinema team will provide everyone with the latest information on the “Red Camcorder” and take any and all questions. Ben Aein from Red Lightning Software will demo the brand new “DV Monitor,” which is looking more and more like “DV Rack for the Mac.” Finally, filmmaker Mike Goubeaux will show his award winning music video, “Trains.” A raffle with prizes totaling over US$10,000 will wrap up the evening.
