Annual MacMod.com competition celebrating “Modify Your Mac Month,”
under sponsorship of Other World Computing and MacSales.com, announce
judges’ picks for winning entries.

Nashville, TN (September 12, 2006) – MacMod.com and Other World
Computing today announced the winners of the “The Great Mac Mod
Challenge 2006” design contest, in which Apple Computer and iPod
owners competed in various categories for their creativity and
ingenuity in the upgrades and modifications made to their Apple
Macintosh and iPod systems.

Contest sponsors Other World Computing and MacSales.com congratulate
grand prize “Mod of the Year” winner Scott Mitchell for his entry
“Bang & Olufsen MP3 Mac”; second place winner James Mullins for his
entry, “Mobile Mac Mini”; and third-place winner David Jackson for
his entry, “The Real Power Mac.”

“OWC salutes all the participants in this year’s Great MacMod
Challenge,” said OWC Sales Manager Jennifer Soule. “It’s this kind of
creativity and thinking outside the box that helps shine a spotlight
on the entire Mac community and the numerous ways you can upgrade
your own Macs.”

Modification categories included Internal Changes, External Changes,
iPod Modifications, Peripheral Modifications (mice, Airport, etc.),
and Miscellaneous Modifications. Entries are judged on level of
difficulty, creativity, integration, and functionality.

This year’s competition was under the sponsorship of Other World
Computing, the industry’s leading technology solutions provider, and
MacSales.com, OWC’s Internet sales portal specializing in upgrades
and peripherals for Macs and iPods. MacMod also welcomed the
sponsorship of Griffin Technology, RamDirect, and Ackoo Solutions.

The Grand Prize was a $1,000 prize package from Other World Computing
and MacSales.com.
