Black Cat Systems today announced the release of Audiocorder 4.8.0, a program which allows a Mac to act as a sophisticated audio recorder. This version adds a Voice Timestamp feature, which allows a computer generated spoken time and date to be prepended to the beginning of a recording. The software may also be programmed with a recording schedule, specifying when it should start and stop recording, much like a VCR. In addition, users can performed a timed recording, specifying how long the recording period should last. Three versions of Audiocorder are available — one for Mac OS X/Carbon, one for other PowerPC systems, and one for older 68k systems, all for US$19.99.
