MacUpdate today announced two new features to its site — free developer file mirroring and a new Universal Binary search service. “MacUpdate now provides free file hosting for Macintosh developers. Instead of creating a complicated file management system with server clusters for hosting, we integrated the file upload and management seamlessly into the developer submission system,” notes the site. “A user simply needs to mark the checkbox on the submission page, saying they would rather have MacUpdate host the file. Then on the next page they select the file on their Macintosh and click the upload button. We handle the rest in a completely automated process.”
