Dow Jones today reports that the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and Macworld Conference & Expo, normally held at least several days apart, will overlap in 2007. Next year both events will begin on January 8th and run most of the week. “Representatives of CES and International Data Group, which produces Macworld, say the timing of their events is a contractual issue with the halls where the shows are held,” notes the report. “The Las Vegas Convention Center and Moscone Center in San Francisco have busy schedules and available dates are determined by hall demand.” Apple has declined comment on the issue.
