Morrison SoftDesign today announced the release of FontDoctor 7.1, an update to its Mac OS X tool for font problem diagnosis, repair, and organization. The application will scan font folders (on local hard drives or over a network) to locate and repair common font illnesses, including corrupt or damaged fonts, missing Postscript fonts, missing bitmaps, corrupt/damaged fonts, font ID conflicts, extra fonts sizes, mixed fonts types, and more. New features in this release include: integrated Spotlight technology allows FontDoctor to very quickly find fonts; Automator Actions (Start Diagnosis, Organize, Archive); updated “Undo” feature; and more. FontDoctor is priced at US$69.99. A free demo version is also available.
