Matias to debut keyboard with extra Control key

Matias today announced the OS X Keyboard, which features an extra Control key (where Caps Lock normally is) along with features inherited from its popular Tactile Pro keyboard. Like the Tactile Pro, the OS X Keyboard has all of the Option and Shift-Option symbols printed on the keys, making it easier to type characters such as ™ € £ © and others. Unlike the Tactile Pro, the OS X Keyboard uses rubber dome keyswitches, for quieter operation and tactile response. The US$39.95 keyboard will make its debut next week at Macworld Expo in San Francisco.

Roku PhotoBridge HD1000 gets AAC support

Roku today released a software update to its PhotoBridge HD1000, its digital media player that displays photos, music, art and video on any TV, including HDTV. The version 2.0 software adds support for AAC music files, DVD-style MPEG2 program stream playback, Windows Media connect, UPnP AV, Internet radio, foreign languages, and more. The Roku PhotoBridge HD1000 is priced at US$299.
