Speck Products to unveil ToughSkin for iPod

Speck Products tomorrow will unveil ToughSkin, a ruggedized iPod skin designed with shock-absorbing, rubberized bumpers and a tear-resistant plastic skin. The ToughSkin cover, which features ruggedized bumpers, detachable belt clip, and screen and scroll wheel covers, fits all fourth generation iPods, including the 20 and 40 GB iPod with Click Wheel and iPod Photo, and will soon be available for iPod mini. Solar powered iPod charger arrives in US

Better Energy Systems’ Solio, originally released in the UK in October, has been introduced to the US market today at Macworld Expo in San Francisco. The weather-proof, solar powered charger for iPod, mobile phone, and several other electronic devices, weighs only 5.8 ounces and can be plugged into a wall outlet to charge its internal battery when no sun is available. Activating the Solio simply requires attaching a cable and pressing a button.
