Mathlink For Applescript – Version 1.2 Available

MATHLINK FOR APPLESCRIPT – VERSION 1.2 AVAILABLE

Linz, Austria, February-17-2005 — uni software plus is pleased
to announce the immediate availability of version 1.2 of their product
MathLink for AppleScript.

MathLink for AppleScript is a Scripting Addition (OSAX) that makes
it possible to use Mathematica as a computational engine in AppleScript
programs. The second use of MathLink for AppleScript is to allow
external
functions written in AppleScript to be called from within the
Mathematica environment.

Version 1.2 adds support for remote Mathematica kernels.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger packaging revealed

Today’s issue of the UK/Ireland Apple eNews newsletter shows for the first time what the retail box for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is expected to look like. Unlike the tiger-striped graphics that were displayed first at WWDC 2004, the new black packaging shows a platinum “X” that gives the perception that it is extending off the front of the box. Apple has continually said that Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger will be released “during the first half of 2005.”
