iSight 1.0.3 update released; Mac OS X v10.3.9 soon?

Apple has posted iSight Updater 1.0.3, a software update for the company’s iChat AV-compatible web cam. According to the release notes, the new version offers improved audio performance. Interestingly, the requirements on the above-linked Apple page currently state that the update is for those running Mac OS X v10.3.7-10.3.9, possibly confirming that there will be at least one more Mac OS X update before v10.4 Tiger is released later this month.

Apple to open new Florida store next week

Apple will open a new retail store in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on Saturday, April 23. The new Apple Store, which will be the state’s eighth, is located at The Gardens Mall, 3101 PGA Boulevard, Space 1027A. Like all Apple Store grand openings, free T-shirts and a Digital Lifestyle package valued at US$2,350 will be given away.

Today Apimac has released Apimac PAD Editor 1.0 for Mac OS X.

Apimac is pleased to announce Apimac PAD Editor 1.0, a new application for
editing PAD (Portable Application Description) files. PAD files help
software authors to provide product descriptions and specifications to
online sources in a standard way, using a standard data format that allow
webmasters and program librarians to automate program listings. Unlike

Apple releases iMovie HD, iDVD, iPhoto updates

Apple today released updates to iMovie HD, iDVD and iPhoto via the Mac OS X Software Update utility. According to the release notes, iMovie HD 5.0.2 addresses issues related to video and audio synchronization for DV projects and other issues. Apple said iDVD 5.0.1 fixes issues related to general stability and compatibility with iPhoto slideshows and iMovie HD.
