Report: iTunes phone to launch at UK’s V Festival

According to a report in The Sunday Telegraph yesterday, Motorola will “debut” its new iTunes phone at the V Festival in the UK, notes The Register. “The festival is sponsored by Virgin Mobile, so the carrier may be the first to agree to offer the product in the UK. As the smaller of the five biggest UK carriers, Virgin is probably less troubled by the iTunes phone’s lack of support for over-the-air music downloads than the other networks are said to be.

O’Reilly releases ‘Learning Unix for Mac OS X Tiger’

O’Reilly today announced the release of “Learning Unix for Mac OS X Tiger,” a 260-page book by Dave Taylor on learning Unix under Tiger. The new book was written to quickly teach Mac users the basics and “expand your Unix horizons,” as Taylor puts it. A Unix developer and self-described “command-line junkie,” he starts by familiarizing his readers with the Terminal, the application that lets Mac OS X users power up with Unix. “Learning Unix for Mac OS X Tiger” is priced at US$19.95.

Logitech today announced it has added three new headphones to its line-up of iPod and MP3 player accessories. The Logitech Wireless Headphones for MP3 (available this month for US$129.99), the Logitech Identity Headphones for MP3 (available this month for $39.99), and the Logitech Curve Headphones for MP3 (available in August for $29.99). All three headphones work with any iPod or MP3 player.
