Griffin announces iFM for iPod

Griffin Technology today announced iFM, a new device which integrates FM radio tuning, recording and remote control functionality to the iPod in a small aluminum enclosure. “With the flip of a switch users can now switch seamlessly between controlling their music library and listening to their favorite FM radio programming,” notes the company. “Use the iFM as an inline remote to control the iPod’s transport controls, great for workouts, biking or hiking.

DEVONtechnologies today released new versions of its personal information manager DEVONthink Personal, its intelligent notebook application DEVONnote and its popular free file-find utility EasyFind. Both applications optionally use the new look of Mail 2.0 (“Unified Title and Toolbar” look), import chat logs from iChat and Yahoo Messenger, allow users to drag text clippings and URLs directly onto their icons in the Dock, improve printing and add further minor improvements under Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger such as enhanced support for the new PDFKit.

Extensis sells plugins to third party software developer

Extensis today announced the sale of its Photoshop plugins and QuarkXPress XTensions to independent software developer, onOne Software. Products included in this purchase are pxl SmartScale, PhotoFrame, Intellihance Pro, Mask Pro, PhotoTools, and QX-Tools Pro from Extensis and the Genuine Fractals product from LizardTech. Extensis and LizardTech will continue to support these products until July 31, 2005 when onOne Software will take control of all aforementioned titles.
