New processor upgrade card available for G4 Cube

PowerLogix today announced the availability of its 1.5GHz Dual Processor PowerForce G4 7447A processor upgrade card for Apple’s G4 Cube. The cards utilize the latest FreeScale PowerPC 7447A and include 512K of on-board L2 cache. As with all PowerForce G4 7447A cards, this new model features an on-board thermal sensor and real-time thermal monitoring, and supports Dynamic Frequency Switching (DFS). The card is compatible with Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X 10.3.5 or later and is priced at US$479.

Gefen announces the 2×1 DVI KVM Switcher

Gefen today announced the 2×1 DVI KVM Switcher, which connects two cross-platform computers to one keyboard, video display and mouse (KVM) workstation. The new switcher offers stereo audio, high-speed USB 2.0, and DVI video in resolutions up to 1920×1200 are output for each computer. In addition, the switcher measures seven inches wide, two and a half tall and four deep, and provides a switch button on the front of the unit that gives access to computer data in seconds.

Plasticsmith releases new stands for iPod, iPod mini

The Plasticsmith today announced the release of tux for iPod (US$35), a new stand for Apple’s digital music player. Tux is a protective pedestal that is designed to be placed on the desk, next to the stereo, on the nightstand or any place where a user regularly listens to an iPod with headphones or connected to speakers.
