OWC lowers pricing on its MercuryPB SuperDrive

Other World Computing (OWC) today announced that its MercuryPB SuperDrive internal optical drive upgrades are now available for US$149.95 (previously $179.95). It’s compatible with 12-, 15- and 17-inch Aluminum PowerBook G4s and 15-inch Titanium PowerBook G4s that run at 667-, 800-, 867MHz and 1GHz. In addition, the MercuryTi SuperDrive is available for $229.95 (previously $249.95), and is compatible with 400-, 500-, 550- and 667MHz versions of the Titanium PowerBook G4s.

Fastmac ships long-lasting battery for click-wheel iPod

Fastmac today announced that it has started shipping its long-lasting battery upgrade for Apple’s 4th generation iPod with click-wheel. The company says that all customers that placed pre-orders through the its Web site will receive their shipments in the next few days, along with their free gift with purchase. Fastmac has also extended the free charger with iPod battery offer until midnight, August 31st, 2005.
