LaCie today announced new LEGO-shaped, stackable hard drives called LaCie Brick Desktop and Mobile Editions. “For this unique range, LaCie teamed up with renowned designer Ora-Ito to create colorful building block-shaped hard drives — making everyday storage and backup not only functional, but fun,” notes the company. “As one drive gets full, stack another on top for an instant boost in capacity. Desktop and mobile drives fit together seamlessly. LaCie makes it easy to build a mighty storage collection in multiple configurations, one LaCie Brick at a time.” LaCie Brick Desktop Editions come with a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface, while the Mobile Editions are bus-powered and are available with either a Hi-Speed USB 2.0-only interface, or dual FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces.
