No Starch Press today announced the upcoming release of “The Cult of iPod,” a follow-up to its “The Cult of Mac” book released last year. “The Cult of iPod” examines how Apple’s portable player has changed music, culture, and listening behavior for fans around the world. Author Leander Kahney includes the back story of the iPod’s development, looks at the many ways iPod users pay homage to their devices, and investigates the quirkier aspects of iPod culture. “The Cult of iPod” will be available in November of this year for US$24.95.
