fracturedSoftware releases Rondo 1.2 midi player

Tuesday 23 August 2005 – Canberra, Australia. fracturedSoftware announces
the release of Rondo 1.2, a free update to its midi player for Mac OS X.
The update provides the ability to change channel colors, check for new
versions, and display different meta and system messages in their own
columns. Other new features include a Song Information panel, Section and
Recent Items menus, and an upgraded track filter panel with separate audio
and visual filtering and track soloing.

Rondo is not only a midi player but it is also designed to help aspiring
musicians practice.

Rondo is simple to use. It features a vertical piano roll with live
scrolling and a horizontal playing piano so that you can follow the music
even if you can not read music scores. Want to play along – Rondo can
unlink any column from the underlying audio and isolate a track making it
easy to view. Looping controls enable you to continuously repeat the same
section of music. Rate controls allow you to adjust the music to the tempo
you need.

Learning to play a musical instrument – particularly keyboard – has never
been easier.

Pricing and Availability

Rondo is priced at US $25 and is available as a downloadable file from
http://www.fracturedSoftware.com. Early purchasers are eligible for free
upgrades through to version 2.
