LaCie today introduced the LaCie mini Hard Drive with up to 250GB capacity and either FireWire or USB interfaces. The new hard drive is designed to be a companion to Apple’s Mac mini and can be used to back up the Mac mini hard drive, add storage capacity, or transfer files to another computer with the same interface. The LaCie mini Hard Drive features a four-corner crown that fits underneath Mac mini, which was engineered to allow for a natural cooling airflow to move between itself and the computer, keeping both drives cool and safe while in operating mode. The FireWire version is available now and both versions will be available worldwide in September. Pricing for the new drives are 80GB (US)$119.99, 160GB ($149.99), and 250GB ($199.99).
