Sonny Software today announced the release of Bookends 8.1, a Mac-only, full-featured bibliography/reference and information management application for professionals and students. Some of the changes in version 8.1 include an enhanced interface, automatic optional substitution of dashes for repeated authors in bibliographies, configurable name display in the list view, direct e-mail of selected references, and more. Bookends retails for US$99 ($69 for students), and a demo version is available.
