SoftRAID, LLC has announced the release of SoftRAID 3.2, the latest version of its bootable RAID software for the Mac. Version 3.2 offers Tiger compatibility, taking advantage of the new disk driver architecture built into Mac OS 10.4. Other changes include: enhancements to SoftRAID’s use on XServes and XServe RAIDs (including 4 petabyte volume capacity (4,096 terabytes) and an enhanced algorithm for rebuilding Mirror volumes on Servers); and fixes several bugs, including a rare kernel panic situation, some permissions problems, and adds better support for Case Sensitive HFS under Tiger. SoftRAID is priced at US$129.00 and is a free upgrade for users of version 3.x.
