Fetch Softworks has announced that Fetch 5, the latest version of the file transfer client for the Macintosh, is now available. Version 5 offers SFTP support and a redesigned user interface emphasizing simplicity and ease of use. Other new features include automatic support for StuffIt, Zip, Tar, Gzip and other common file formats, Automatic Passive Mode for improved server and firewall compatibility, faster file transfers, Bonjour (Rendezvous) support, Unicode file names, Dock progress, improved AppleScript support, and extensive online help. Fetch 5 requires Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later and is priced at US$25 ($15 upgrade price).
