Ch ODBC Package 4.0 open sourced

DAVIS, Calif., April, 05, 2005 – SoftIntegration, Inc., the leader of
scripting technology for ubiquitous computing, today announced the release
of Ch ODBC Package 4.0 for unixODBC and iODBC. Ch is an embeddable C
interpreter for scripting, 2D/3D plotting, and numerical computing.

The new release contains the source code for Ch binding to unixODBC and
iODBC libraries. Ch SDK is included in the distribution of Ch Standard
Edition and Ch Professioal Edition. Ch ODBC package demonstrates that it is
simple and easy to create Ch binding to binary static or dynamical C/C++
libraries using Ch SDK without manually writing the binding code.

ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) is a widely used application programming
interface (C API) for database independent programming. It standardizes
access to databases from different vendors.

Ch ODBC Package for unixODBC and iODBC is a Ch binding to unixODBC and
iODBC. This package allows C scripts to connect to SQL servers and any data
source with an ODBC driver in a widely supported industry standard. The
ODBC C code can run across platform without compilation and linking. Along
with user-friendly Ch CGI toolkit, it is ideal for shopping cart and
Web-based applications with database connections.

The Ch ODBC Package is open source and works in Linux, Solaris, HP-UX,
FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and QNX. It requires the installation of Ch and a proper
ODBC library.
