The 1394 Trade Association elected its 2005 board of directors last week, re-electing Eric Anderson, Apple’s FireWire software manager, as chair and Max Bassler of Molex, Inc. as vice chair. Dave Thompson of Agere Systems was re-elected secretary, and Jalil Oraee of Oxford Semiconductor will continue as financial officer. “Our membership has selected a very qualified and diverse Board,” said Anderson. “I look forward to working with its members to rapidly leverage the momentum 1394 has created in consumer, computer, automotive and industrial markets, as reflected by the large number of 1394-capable HDTVs shown at this year’s CES, and in the many automotive applications now under development.”
