SmileOnMyMac releases Disclabel 1.3, PDFpen 1.0

SmileOnMyMac today released Disclabel 1.3, an update to its popular CD labeling software. Version 1.3 adds a new disclabel NEATO store for buying new labels, an improved hierarchical label menu, and updates for improved image compatibility. disclabel sells for US$29.95. The company also introduced PDFpen 1.0, new software that lets Mac users “take control of their PDFs,” enabling them to split, combine, reorder, and augment PDFs with text and image overlays. Contour releases new macro capability for ShuttlePRO V.2

Contour Design today announced the release of Key Composer, new keystroke macro creation and management functionality for its ShuttlePRO V.2 multimedia jog/shuttle controller. With Key Composer, Mac audio/video application users can now assign multiple keystroke combinations, or macros, to execute from a single button on the ShuttlePRO V.2. Key Composer is built into Version 2.5 of the Macintosh driver for the ShuttlePRO V.2, available as a free download from the Contour Design Web site.

Kelby to debut Panther books at Macworld Expo

Scott Kelby will release new Panther editions of his best-selling “Mac OS X Killer Tips” and “The Mac OS X Conversion Kit” books at the San Francisco Macworld Expo this week. Show attendees will have the opportunity to pick up advance copies at the Peachpit Press booth or the NAPP/Wacom booth where Kelby will be sharing his favorite Panther tips, answering questions, and signing autographs. The two books retail for US$39.99 each, but special discount pricing will be offered at the Expo.
