The Register: ‘iTunes DRM cracked wide open’

Back in November we noted that the Norwegian programmer who created the first widely-used tool for cracking the copy protection technology found on DVDs was going after Apple’s iTunes — and he has. The Register is now reporting that Jon Lech Johansen has figured out a way of allowing people to play songs they’ve purchased on iTunes Music Store on their GNU/Linux computers.

– Gosh, I love covering Macworld expos. I’m in my element, though time loses all meaning. The days are longer than the wait between episodes of “24,” but the week, in retrospect, will doubtless seem shorter than a Britney Spears marriage. Unreal Tournament 2004 showing at MWSF
