Pixar ends negotiations with Disney

Pixar on Thursday said that it is ending its discussions with Walt Disney Co. to extend their existing five-picture deal, and will enter into talks with other studios to distribute its films beginning in 2006. “After ten months of trying to strike a deal with Disney, we’re moving on,” said Pixar and Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

MCE Technologies (MCE) today announced a rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack for its QuickStream DV FireWire DV capture device. The lightweight QuickStream Battery Pack mounts directly to the QuickStream DV, and provides an additional 3.5 hours of recording time for a total of five hours of continuous portable recording time.
