Free version of PC-Mac PasswordVault 2.0 available

Bare Bones updates Mailsmith

Bare Bones Software has released Mailsmith 2.1.1, the latest version of the company’s powerful e-mail client for Mac OS X. The free update is recommended for all Mailsmith users, and offers several minor enhancements and fixes. Bare Bones also said the update package includes version 2.1.2 of SpamSieve, the popular Bayesian spam filtering utility. Mailsmith sells for US$99.

iPod ads feature songs unavailable from iTMS

The last two iPod television commercials feature songs that are not currently available for purchase from the iTunes Music Store (iTMS). Apple has not yet replied to say whether or not the songs—”Rock Star” (Jason Nevins Remix) by N.E.R.D and “Channel Surfing” by Feature Cast—will ever appear on the iTMS. The iPod ads feature black silhouettes dancing with iPods in front of vibrant background colors.
