MUG News: February MacBUS meeting announced

The next meeting of The Macintosh Business Users Society of Greater Philadelphia (MacBUS) is being held on Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. ET. This month’s meeting will include a question and answer session, along with some Mac OS X Panther tips. TimeSlice gets new tracking, graphing abilities

Modesitt Software has revved TimeSlice (for Mac OS 9 through Mac OS X 10.1) and TimeSliceX (for Mac OS X 10.2 and higher) to version 2.7. TimeSlice is a time-tracking and billing application; the update lets you add which documents and applications you want the software to track, the ability to create graphs of your time records, a new Window menu that shows all open windows, a new Quick Search field and more. TimeSlice 2.7 is a free upgrade for users of TimeSlice 2.5 and above. There’s a US$20 upgrade fee for earlier versions; for new users the cost is $49.

Chart-graph system adds 3D stereoscopic graphics

VVI has released version 9.2.10 of the Vvidget User chart and graph system for Mac OS X. The update adds 3D stereoscopic pop-out graphs which lets users view three-dimensional data via inexpensive viewers, as well as recover more information than what’s normally presented on a screen. For a limited time, VVI is providing free demonstration viewers with each purchase of Vvidget User, which costs US$149.
