Propellerhead announces Reason 3.0

Propellerhead Software today announced Reason 3.0, a major update to its its flagship music production software. This update focuses on live playing and will “take Reason from the studio realm to the stage,” according to the developer. Version 3.0 offers one-step loading of customizable instruments and effect setups, a new instrument-packed soundbank, instant integration with MIDI keyboards and controllers, a new file browser, and a suite of mastering tools. Reason 3.0 is currently being beta tested. There is no set release date yet.
