BeLight offers free set of Christmas images, more

BeLight Software has announced they are shipping a free set of Christmas-themed images and designs for Mail Factory, it recently released software for designing and printing envelopes, as well as shipping and address labels. The collection contains about 60 clipart images and designs for creating envelopes, shipping labels and greeting cards for the holidays. In addition, Mail Factory integrates with iPhoto, allowing the creation of family Christmas cards within the application possible.

iPodlounge reviews 60GB iPod photo

Our colleagues at iPodlounge have posted their review of Apple’s recently announced iPod photo. Free open source Web publishing tool Nvu available

A free beta version of Nvu, a free, easy-to-use Web editor, was released today in advance of Nvu 1.0, which is being sponsored by Linspire. The new application is based on Mozilla Internet technology and Netscape Composer, the tool allows users to easily author and manage rich Web documents without programming or HTML coding. Nvu 1.0 beta for Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows users is available for download now.

Salkever pens his last ‘Byte of the Apple’ column

Alex Salkever is leaving BusinessWeek Online as Technology Editor, and writes today that this will be his final “Byte of the Apple” column for the news organization. “I started writing this column roughly three years ago,” says Salkever. “At the time, I didn’t understand what I was getting into.” The popular Mac columnist talks about what he has learned from Apple over the past few years, and looks at some of the things that inspired him.
