Mossberg recommends iMac G5 in Fall Buyer’s Guide

In his 2004 Fall Buyer’s Guide, Wall Street Journal tech guru Walt Mossberg recommends that consumers take a good look at Apple’s new iMac G5. “Most buyers will go with Windows PCs. But Apple’s new iMac models are an excellent choice,” writes Mossberg. “Not only are they beautifully designed, but they also use a powerful processor called the G5, and their prices are actually lower than those for comparable Windows machines. Best of all, users of the current Mac operating system haven’t encountered any viruses.

Gefen offers extension solutions for Apple HD Cinema Displays

Gefen has announced two new extension solutions for Apple’s new 20 and 23-inch HD Cinema Displays. The 10 foot ($99) and the 15 foot ($129) cable-only solutions require no hardware or external power to operate. On each product, three cables are bundled together and capped on each end by three connectors: DVI, Firewire and USB. Gefen’s combo cable requires a simple connection to the computer on one end, and to the extended display and peripherals on the other end.
