The Mac Store of Cooper City, Florida, closed its doors for the last time this past Friday. “For the last 11 years, our customers have allowed me, and my staff to enter their personal lives and businesses. Words cannot express how we will miss you all,” writes Mac Store president Joel Lukacher. “There are many reasons why we cannot continue. Men of Valor game coming to the Mac

Aspyr Media announced today that it will publish a Mac version of Men of Valor. The title, licensed by Vivendi Universal Games, is a historical first-person shooter set in the Vietnam War. “Using a combination of detailed environments, dynamic scripted events, and emotionally engaging AI, gamers are immersed in jungle firefights, desperate defenses and tense search and destroy operations the Marines engaged in from 1965-1968.” Pricing and availability was not announced.

Pepsi Canada to give away an iPod an hour until Christmas

Pepsi Canada has launched a new promotion in which it will be giving away one 20GB iPod an hour of every day until Christmas–a total of 2,016 iPods. The promo started on Oct. 3, 2004 at 12:00:01 a.m. and ends Dec. 25, 2004 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET. It is only open to residents of Canada. PIN codes will be available under the labels of specially marked Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Mug root beer, and Lipton Brisk iced tea. MenuCalendarClock 1.1 update released

Objectpark Software today released MenuCalendarClock 1.1, an update to its Mac OS X menu bar calendar and clock application. The new version improves the events and ‘to do’ item overview by providing a calendar drawer that adapts to the user’s screen size. In addition, iCal’s ‘to do’ items and events can now be shown simultaniously. The basic feature set of MenuCalendarClock is free of charge, but some features require a registration available for US$14.95.
