HP Printable Tattoos now available

Hewlett-Packard announced today that people can now create their own printable tattoos at www.hp.com/music. Music fans can import their personal digital photos or download exclusive tattoos designed by popular music artists, as well as unique tattoos created by leading graphic and fashion designers. The site will also include the iTunes Music Store top 10 list and a “most-downloaded” tattoo list.

Apple brings Black Eyed Peas to The Urbz

Electronic Arts, Apple and A&M Records today announced a partnership that marries one of the year’s biggest video games — The Urbz: Sims in the City — with one of the year’s hottest bands — The Black Eyed Peas. “Not only will the band be characters in the game and provide nine tracks re-recorded completely in Simlish — the game’s quirky language — but a special edition version of the game will include exclusive, never-released tracks from The Black Eyed Peas available via an iTunes download card. The card entitles consumers to receive three exclusive Black Eyed Peas songs.

Apple iTunes remains dominant digital music store

Apple’s iTunes Music Store continues to dominate the digital music market, according to new data released today by The NPD Group. Echoing the same number Apple touts publicly, the research firm said nearly 70 percent of music files downloaded legally between December 2003 and July 2004 were downloaded from iTunes. Napster’s share for the same period was 11 percent, while MusicMatch, RealNetworks and Wal-Mart each reached a six percent share.
